Making a Leather Wallet - the Hamlet (Start to Finish). In this video, a Hamlet wallet, “currency edition” is being crafted, start to finish. I also show a real life comparison of the slight variance in size difference between the “classic” and the “currency” editions. The classic edition (sometimes referred to as the card edition) is 4.75” wide x 3.0” tall. Currency will fit, however it does stick out just a tad. This edition is perfect for those who tend to use the wallet mainly for cards, ID’s, etc, and prefer a wallet for front pocket carry. (Currency folded in quarters will fit perfectly.) The currency edition (4.75” wide x 3.5” tall) gives that extra 1/2” in height to house folded currency. It can still be used as a front pocket wallet if desired, of course. Both editions have a card sleeve on the face and rear along with a full size center pouch.
