Lake District Aira Force waterfall walk showing bridge damage

Aira Force waterfall is on the western bank of Ullswater in the Lake District. It is owned by the National Trust, has a large car park, cafe and information kiosk for visitors. Park here for a pleasant hour or two following woodland trails and looking at the waterfalls along Aira Beck. Four bridges cross the Beck in this stretch so you can zig zag your way up and down viewing the picturesque waterfalls as you go. When we visited the old bridge, below the highest waterfall at the top, was damaged and we couldn’t access it. It had fallen tree on it when we visited. The drone footage shows you the view you would have had from this old bridge before the damage.
