Choose FAITH over FEAR

In 1 Samuel chapter 30, we witness one of the most powerful moments in the life of David—a moment where everything seemed lost. After returning to Ziklag and finding it burned to the ground, with their families taken captive by the Amalekites, David and his men wept until they had no strength left. Even worse, his own men spoke of stoning him. But instead of collapsing under fear and despair, David “strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” In the ashes of devastation, he chose faith over panic and sought God’s direction. When he inquired of the Lord, God answered with a promise of victory and restoration. David pursued the enemy, recovered everything that had been taken, and not one thing was missing. This chapter reminds us that even in our lowest moments, when everything around us feels destroyed, trusting in God can lift us from the ashes into complete restoration and victory.
