It is introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP). Service 674 offers residents of Tengah a direct peak-hour service to the Central Business District. This increases convenience and offers greater connectivity for residents, who would otherwise have to commute via feeder bus and transfer to the rail network. Between Plantation Crescent and Anson Road, the services plies non-stop along trunk roads and expressways, via Bukit Batok Road, Jurong Town Hall Road and AYE. This service was introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), which promises to introduce more bus services, including peak-hour express bus services. If the eves of Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Chinese New Year fall on a weekday, the Evening Peak departures will be brought forward to the afternoon.
