Helldiver Cadet KodeX Journal Day 47 Day 47 on the SES Halo of the Stars Personal Order: Kill 3 Shredder Tanks Mission Type: Neutralise Ground-to-Orbit Defences Mission Completed? Yes Kills: 238 | Deaths: 4 K/D Ratio: 59.5/1 The last time there was a personal order for shredder tanks, I kinda just ignored it, since there's no guaranteed way to know when or where the bots are gonna drop them, but today, we landed and just happened to get lucky. I chatted with Redacted before we began, and said to him that basically, if we land and there are shredders, we'll do it, if not, we'll just do the sortie and dip afterwards. Turns out, we got... mostly lucky. It was a single mission deal, and it was a good long time before I died for the first time (especially after turning the first bot base I came across into a very large pile of rubble), although my first death was to a contact mine that I warped into out of sight... need to stop doing that, the second was to my own orbital laser, which decided to get real up close and personal because of a berserker, despite there still being other enemies nearby! The third was to a bunker turret, which I honestly didn't even realise was looking at me, and considering I was crouching around a corner, probably shouldn't have, and finally, to a hulk, which I tried doing that warp into thing to, and it... kinda worked? Just not as well as expected. Journal Notes: Normally I leave my ship on invite only, not sure why that wasn't enabled for this one. Gonna fix that going forward.
