Today is the day I travelled on from Berlin to Hamburg, and I had an hour to spare when arriving at Berlin Hauptbahnhof. This meant I was just in time to witness the service to Hamburg prior to my own. I decided to head up to the head of the platform and record the departing service, as I hadn't captured the original ICE, or ICE 1 / Baureihe 401 yet, and boy was I in for a show! The driver noticed me recording so he flashed the lights, just after the monstrous power car came to life with a heavy roar. Taking over the entire platform, the set roared off into the tunnels of the lower deck of the main station of Berlin! What a show!
