However, what the MCI has permitted is a postponement rather than a full exemption as these students will have to take NEET whenever it is schedule later, in 2020 or 2021. The MCI has published a notification stating that candidates seeking admission to aborad medical colleges need not appear the NEET 2020, scheduled to be taken next month. The instruction is based on a Delhi High Court order. An MBBS aspirant seeking to enter an overseas medical college and proceed before September 15 had filed the petition. The NEET exam date is September 13. As per the MCI notice, the condition of qualifying NEET—UG is mandatory for candidates of MBBS or its equivalent qualification from any overseas country. “Dealing with the present year, Amid of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NEET-UG 2020 which was first scheduled on 31st May 2020, [was] adjourned to 27th July 2020 and is now expected to take place on 13th September 2020.
