Monumental exhibition : Le Deauville de Peter Lindbergh

Peter Lindbergh is one of the most remarkable contemporary photographers of our time. In 1980, Peter Lindbergh made his first fashion photo-reportage in Deauville for Vogue Italy. "It was with Naomi, and it was the first time for her working for a magazine. I was looking for an unknown girl, but dancing very well, as I wanted to make a series about Josephine Baker. We found Naomi, and it was impressive to see her energy, beauty and good will. It was a first great scene. And Deauville can now say : “Naomi has made her first series here !”, Peter Lindbergh says. Fascinated by the beach and its ever-changing light, he came back quite every year since 1980. The twenty-two photos presented during the Planche(s) Contact Festival through a monumental exhibition are the representation of a significant encounter between a place and the artist. The facility called Le Deauville de Peter Lindbergh (Deauville by Peter Lindbergh) is the first open-air exhibition of Peter Lindbergh and will be placed on the same location in which his photos have been taken: Deauville's beach.
