Through the story New Dishes, Hamilton and the gnomes visit Rudabug the potter after some dishes break in Puddle Bloom’s kitchen. Along the way, children hear the beautiful songs “Drops of Rain” and “A Piece of Clay”, reflecting on creativity, patience, and renewal. This week’s activities invite children into hands-on learning with their heads, hearts, and hands. They begin by warming up with cozy cinnamon clove Play-Doh modeling, then move into shaping real pottery with air-dry clay. Later in the week, they paint their pottery creations and practice an important kitchen life skill—cracking eggs and whisking them to make a delicious puff pancake.
