Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #394 Date of Adventure: 2/3/20 Visiting one of my all-time favorite hot springs in Apple Valley, CA...where things have really changed since the last time I visited! **DON'T DO WHAT I DID -- DO NOT PARK AT BOWEN RANCH!!** You'll waste your money, as there is no longer easy access to the hot springs this way...but they don't tell you that until it's too late! Instead, either pay $10 to park at the new "Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground" (basically the old parking area, but supposedly the new owners are building bathrooms and showers and stuff)...or, if you have a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle and don't mind a few bumps, do like I did and take the Freedom Trail.It's a shame...I never had a problem with the people at Bowen Ranch, but I'm kinda pissed at them now for having taken my money without letting me know things had changed. Shame! Hopefully this new campground will do right by the springs, and help keep them clean and legal to use. And.....PACK OUT YOUR TRASH, PEOPLE! I'M TIRED OF DOING IT FOR YOU!!!
