0:00 The Prince's Adventure (Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru) — Kazumi Totaka, 1992 A pretty relaxing track in the middle of chaotic ones. An interesting choice for a stage theme. This is in G major, too, which's not very common in the tracks I usually listen to. It's more common in Bach's works, and maybe some other composers from 2 centuries after. Also a good choice for the original track, because it's a cute key. The original is also a Game Boy track, so it uses a different waveform for the bass instead of the triangle. I think it sounds better than the triangle, despite having a harsher tone. Somehow the rest of the melody makes it sound cute as well. Sounds are deceiving, I guess! Also, I find it kinda funny that while the melody itself here is cute, the percussion line almost sounds like a march song. It is fitting however, considering it's the main theme of the original game, where you wander around and do stuff, just like in any other RPG.
