I drank mushroom coffee all week. Not as a wellness personality. Not as a biohacker. As a knackered, brain-fogged person trying to function. After weeks of being told five mutually exclusive things by Instagram doctors and TikTok experts, I decided to actually test one of them instead of spiralling. So this is a Field Report. I spent the week: • guzzling mushroom coffee (probably more than recommended) • going to an ayahuasca workshop (not a retreat — calm down) • comparing it all to normal coffee, broken sleep, parenting fatigue, and reality And yes — I have thoughts. ⸻ What this episode is really about We’re all exhausted. Running on caffeine, habit, and whatever scraps of motivation are left after bedtime.
