WEBINAR: Modeling for Impact: Strengthening Indonesia’s Health System through AMHASS

In middle-income countries like Indonesia, demographic and epidemiological transitions have contributed to a rising burden of cardiovascular diseases, driven primarily by hypertension and diabetes. However, the healthcare system has not yet fully adapted to manage these growing risks effectively. The AMHASS (Assessment and Modeling for Health System Strengthening) project – a collaboration between The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research and Health Systems Global – aims to assess the current performance of the health system and explore how targeted improvements could impact future health outcomes. This webinar – the first in a series of 6 – will introduce the AMHASS project as part of a broader effort to support evidence-based policymaking in Indonesia through health systems modeling. The session will present a framework for using impact modeling to evaluate care pathways, enhance access to services, and address the burden of chronic diseases. It also contributes to the project’s larger mission of building a community of practice around health systems impact modeling
