Marie Deluil-Martiny (also known as Marie de Jesus or Marie of Jesus) was a brilliant nun known for her passionate spiritual writings. Contemporaries compared her to St. Teresa of Avila. She was devoted to the Sacred Heart and adoration of the Eucharist. She was murdered by a man who she hired to be her convent's gardener.
