The Love of God is the first track of the ASSURED EP, and the words are straight from scripture which combines both the ESV and NKJV versions of Romans 8:38-39. If it’s one thing that I can’t fully grasp, it would be the love of God. Growing up, I always thought God would turn me away because of all the filth I allowed myself to walk through. But we know that “..Godly sorrow produces a repentance that leads to salvation” .. knowing that God’s love is not conditioned by my works or actions, but freely given, it causes me to love Him and walk in obedience because He is WORTHY! As we meditate on this scripture in Romans, through this song, we can leave with a sense of protection. When it comes to God loving us, we are Protected against EVERYTHING, including our past sins. This song came out of me processing these two verses.
