Frightened Master Dell Chomps His Banana Despite Marauding Bat Flies

Rescued this afternoon by Mr Batzilla, Master Dell was found by a caring homeowner this morning hanging on a dividing fence before moving onto a nearby lillypilly tree. With no visible injuries but swarming with wingless parasitic bat flies, the jury is out as to why Dell was alone through the day. We have had some pretty spectacular weather events of late including heavy rain and squalls which may have contributed to his predicament. Now safely in care and relieved of his bat fly burden, Master Dell will remain with us until he is flying well and he is able to continue on with his important pollination responsibilities.
