Just listen to these dual guitars! It was one of Kansas' hallmarks that made up their original sound. And despite still being a great live act, this feature is sorely missed nowadays. What you're hearing here is a fresh mix I did of the well-known Canada Jam performance that emphasizes the interaction going on between Kerry and Rich on guitar. And since it's youtube there's a video as well. (Who can guess the movie I used for the Steve character?) Lonely Street is one of the very few Blues songs by Kansas. The liner notes on the album state it was written by all band members (sans Livgren and Steinhardt), and as such it could be an early White Clover song. During the live shows however Robby often mentioned the song was written by Steve Walsh. An early name of it was Hard Times and it was also called 11/8 due to the time signature.
