"Carlos A Malcolm studied music under Professor Reginald T Prescott lecturer at the National Conservatory of Music in Panama. He also worked as a journalist for the West Indian Review, covering human interest stories. He contributed articles to the Daily Gleaner on music and dance. He later joined the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (TV) as Director of Music (Variety Department) where he wrote, produced and directed several live shows weekly. Carlos was appointed Director of Music for the National Dance Company of Jamaica, Government Sponsored, and wrote several dances that are still in the Comapny's repertoire. In addition he created and produced commerciala and jingles for Texaco, Shell, Maxwell House Coffee, Vicks Vaporub etc. In 1962 he wrote, conducted and arranged all the tropical music for the first James Bond film, "Dr No" which was shot on location in Jamaica." from the Liner notes by Eddie O'Jay
