Another machine shop job for the Vulcan Iron Works Steam Locomotive at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture. For some time now, we have been needing to make a new exhaust nozzle for the locomotive. We were able to find some drawings of the part from original blueprints and from that, patterns were made and then a casting of the part made out of cast iron. In this video, we will machine the new nozzle from the casting on a metal lathe.
