These cool guitars are a faithful reissue of the vintage Supro Coronado’s that are so hard to find. I have had two of the originals and am amazed at how realistic to the originals these are. I played it myself dozens of times in the shop where I got it so it’s a shop display model that only has some pick scratches on the pickguard. The plastic is still on the truss rod cover. All we did was clean it up, restring it with some new 10’s and couple it with a new Profiles Gigbag. What a cool guitar. What everyone loved about the Coronados was the Resoglas body and the Valco pickups. These recreations have a Acousi-glass top which is another term for Resooglas or fiberglass. It has what they call Vintage-correct Vistatone Pickups. They are not Valco’s but I have to say, they are cool and very powerful. I love the tone of these. The guitar is semi hollow, it has a wood plank running thru it like the originals. It has a mahogany neck, redesigned two bolt neck joint, Rosewood bridge, and the Art Deco stairstep tailpiece that makes this guitar look so much like the originals. Love the design of this guitar. A really faithful and respectful reissue of a much loved Supro guitar. The guitar has a 24 2/4 inch scale neck, 1 ½ inch nut and a zero fret. Love the Tulip Keystone style tuners and chrome tuner grommets. The pickups have a stencil design like the original Valcos. The guitar has cool white plastic knobs that look like the originals and the guitar only weighs 7 lbs. No sore backs with this one. The action was untouched by our Techs. We leave the factory settings. It does play with really nice low fast action. No sore fingers either! These guitars do not come with a case from the factory. We decided to include a brand new Profiles gigbag with it. Really nice gigbag. See pics. Now this guitar is very nice but given its New old stock, it is sold as-is and is not returnable, however, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for over 20 years now and they have all loved the guitars I find...This one will be no exception...
