This is Day 3 on the Southern Sierra High Route (well, kinda...). On day three, I started at Upper Boy Scout Lake. I moved up to the Russell-Carillon Col, then descended into Tulaiyno Lake. At the foot of the lake, I descended into the Wallace Creek basin. From here, I was supposed to head further North toward toward Shepherd Pass and eventually Junction Pass, but in the interest of saving time, decided to opt for the John Muir Trail and Forrester Pass.
