22nd February 2025 Event: Blast! to Glory, Singapore Organiser: NUS Blast I’m beyond grateful to have witnessed the incredible in-house competition at NUS. What truly inspired me was how NUS crafted its own unique format, with innovative judging angles and the inclusion of both "in" and "out" play. It was a dynamic setup that allowed me to really engage with the dance floor. Huge thanks to the directors and to Ahmad Kamil for creating such a powerful environment. This piece is a reflection of my journey of constantly pushing myself into new situations and embracing whatever environment I’m in. Every country I visit, every stage I judge, I absorb, I listen, and I adapt. I hope that when you watch my piece, you can feel that energy. It’s a journey of growth, a journey of learning how to adapt and evolve. A massive shoutout to the dancers who joined me in an impromptu dance at the end, your energy was felt and appreciated. The final moment, when I threw the energy ball into the sky, was symbolic: I wanted to share the energy I felt from everyone around me. That moment was about collective power, about each of us earning that energy and BLASTing it TOgether, reaching our shared GLORY. Salam, Faris Azim.
