Paddle Boarding, Cornwall. What went wrong?

Paddle boarding in Cornwall shot using my Insta 360 camera. We intending to launch from Porthluney Beach near Caerhays Castle on the South coast of Cornwall but the waves were peaking at waist to chest high on the surfers riding the waves so we thought we'd locate to somewhere more sheltered from the offshore wind and swell. Knowing the area relatively well I knew Portmellon beach just west of Mevagissy on the south coast of Cornwall would be fine and the water quality would be okay. Parking is free on the road, where we parked and it is a short walk to the beach. The beach and water close to the beach can collect a lot of weed as seen in the video which gets very slippery. The best area for snorkelling is just west of the beach and on the day of the paddle the water quality, clarity and visibility was pretty much as good as it gets and jelly fish, fish (mainly Wrasse) and many varieties of weed were seen in the water. We have also encountered seals, spider crabs and big blue lobsters too on past paddles and snorkelling trips. We then crossed the bay to Mevagissy for an ice cream from our favourite cafe called She Sells. Please do like, subscribe and comment, it means a lot to me.
