Book your tickets on https://museumofthefuture.ae One of Dubai's most famous landmarks, the Museum of the Future takes pride of place along the city's superhighway, Sheikh Zayed Road. Founded by the Dubai Future Foundation and set to open on 22 February 2022, the museum explores how society could evolve in the coming decades, combining elements of traditional exhibition, immersive theatre and themed attractions so visitors can look beyond the present and towards the future's limitless possibilities. The Museum is a home for inspiration, open to all. The Museum combines elements of exhibition, immersive theatre and themed attraction. Each floor is like a film set from a future that you can inhabit, explore and interact with. The settings and scenes that we are crafting are immersive, but also expansive: they are designed to expand what the audience thinks possible - for the world, for the future and for themselves. This content has been crafted by a team of the world’s leading product, media, exhibition and experience designers. Topics featured include the future of space travel and living, climate change and ecology, health, wellness and spirituality. The museum has already been named one of the 14 most beautiful museums, and everyone is excited to see what it looks like inside. Even if you’re just driving by, you can see the museum is incredibly detailed. That’s thanks to architecture firm Killa Design using modern techniques such as the computer-controlled machining tools to cut an estimated 1,000 molds that support the fiberglass and stainless steel frame. The building’s form is futuristic: it opens a new path away from the highrise towers that dominate skylines everywhere. Its form is symbolic: The circular building represents humanity; the green mound it sits atop represents the earth; the void represents the unknown future. The building is an architectural and engineering marvel - it confidently straddles the past and the future, applying advanced technology to traditional art-forms. The building ‘speaks Arabic’: its facade is a canvas for the poetry of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar bin Lahej. The building is targeting LEED Platinum certification in line with the Museum’s overall commitment to sustainability. BGM Credits: www.bensound.com
