The roads are smooth on Ahmedabad to Pune route. It's fun to drive on these roads. Some traffic congestion is expected while crossing Narmada Bridge, Kamrej crossroad near Surat Fountain / Godbandar Junction just before Mumbai, Thane City area and little bit on Khandala Ghat near Lonavala due to uphill road. The whole road trip from Ahmedabad to Pune was done in 14 hours for 650 kms, with some quick stopovers for petrol / washroom breaks, breakfast at Jagdish Farsan near Vadodara, lunch near Ankleshwar at Girnar Kathiyawadi, Ubadiyu break near Valsad and dinner at Foodmall before Khandala Ghat.
