My last two weeks in London have come and have gone, not a drill this time. After 6 years of calling this city my home, it’s time to take a break of indeterminate length. And I’m so grateful for the send off I had. Two weeks that encapsulated London at its very best, and my life here at its most magical - friends, art, walks, learning, connection, great food, nature, synchronicities and the bittersweet flavour of goodbyes filled with love. The best part of it all, is that although this time was certainly a version on steroids of my reality, it was still mostly representative of what living in this city has been, with its assortment of emotions and experiences, that is everything but boring. The two weeks started with learning about the encrypted frequencies of the past with “In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats” from Darren Emerson at the Barbican, which smoothly flowed into later training to identify and decipher the frequencies of and around each one of us, with an intro to Cranio-Sacral therapy. And amongst other wonderful things, the most unexpected gem was discovering Do Ho Suh’s “Walk the House” at Tate Modern. I couldn’t have found a collection of artwork more relevant to my present circumstances and current state of mind, heart and spirit even if i tried.
