To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's second album "No Beginner," the official Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils YouTube channel is releasing a series of select tracks from that classic CD. "No Beginner" was recorded in Austin, Texas and co-produced by the Blue Devils with Tom "Bones" Malone. "Bones" is best known for his distinctive horn work with the Saturday Night Live and Blues Brothers bands during the 1970s and 80s. (He can currently be seen every night on "The Late Show with David Letterman" as part of Paul Schaffer's CBS Orchestra.) Featured this week is "If You Love Me," a spirited cover of a 1951 Sun Records blues classic by Little Milton Campbell. (Milton would later be a labelmate of Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils at Malaco Records.) This track really moves, thanks to the added bonuses of Antone's house band regulars Riley Osbourne on boogie piano and Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff honkin' that sax!
