Did Bear and Buddha Become Best Buds?

The fourth entry in my Kintsugi-inspired Buddha series, I wanted to try something different with the gold leaf and try a starburst pattern. After a quick flip and lip using #decoart Extreme Sheen Rose Quartz, Dazzling Metallics Zinc, and #goldenpaints Carbon Black, I sketched in my Buddha with white charcoal. Next, I took a protractor and marked out every 10° to get my pattern, which I then taped off, applied the adhesive, then the gold leaf. For the Buddha, I decided to use my liquid chrome markers for a different effect. I color blocked in Golden Payne’s Gray and Cadmium Orange , #amsterdampaint Light Rose, #liquitex Light Pink, #folkart Color Shift Pastel Pink and Treasure Gold Fire Opal. I tried various combos until I found one I liked. I’m really proud of this piece. I love how the cells from the flip cup mimic Buddha’s hair. I also love the chrome next to the gold leaf.
