Busyness doesn't always mean you have too much to do. Sometimes it means you're avoiding what would surface if you actually practiced stillness. I spent the majority of last year saying yes to everything: projects I didn't have capacity for, family obligations that consumed my entire schedule, and content systems that we’re draining me more than they were moving me forward. I convinced myself that staying productive was what I needed in order to be my best self. What I was actually doing was using motion to avoid stillness. Because stillness meant facing truths I wasn't ready to acknowledge. This week's prompt is: What truth am I avoiding by staying busy? What I unpacked in my own life is that every time I got close to a decision that required me to confront what I actually wanted, I added something to my calendar. I created urgency where there wasn't any. Because urgency gave me permission to avoid what was underneath it all: the fear that slowing down meant losing relevance, that rest meant falling behind, that if I wasn't constantly producing, I wasn't valuable. #Busyness #Avoidance #PatternRecognition #SelfAwareness #PersonalGrowth #Integration #PromptsInPractice #LivingDvnly #BrandStrategy #CreativeStrategy #NervousSystemRegulation
