Being brand new, I didn't really have much to do besides clean it up and apply a ceramic coating. I opted to use as much Gyeon products as I could since Carzilla generously supplied me with a bunch of new stuff. I really think the MOHS is one of the best coatings on the market, especially for the DIY'ers out there. It provides great results with little fuss. I spent the better part of two days on this project, but the results made every second worth it. **For anyone feeling concerned that I did not perform any paint correction or polishing of the paint prior to the application of the ceramic coating, please take a second to read the following: This RS6 was recently purchased brand new through a local dealership. That dealership employs some highly experienced detailers and this car went through a comprehensive "new car" detailing process including a full paint correction and polish A short time later, it came to me. I tested various spots on the car with clay and iron remover and found absolutely no evidence of contamination between the time it was prepped by the dealership and brought to me. Performing a paint correction on paint that is flawless is not something I think is necessary. As nice as it would have looked on this video, I don't believe in "staging" projects to look good for the camera. I made the decision to use Restart Wash by Gyeon which is a decontamination soap that has the ability to remove ferrous deposits thanks to an iron remover infusion. After that, I was super focused on using Prep by Gyeon to ensure the surface was completely free of any oils, residues or particulates that could disrupt the adhesion of the coating.
