A childhood disappearance isn't? The Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151,is the first Generation MRT Train to ever run on our first 2 MRT lines since 1987. Bulit in Japan,the C151 can into Singapore in 1986 and started passenger service in 1987.The train is the most recognisable to many as it has been the main face of our MRT story. The KHI C151 is bulid with different areas, Kawasaki Heavy Industries (ownself bulid),The Kinki-Sharyo Bulit,Tokyu Car Crop and the Nippon Sharyo aswell.It ran with the motors of the Mishubishi GTO Chopper and in 2018 with 6 units having the Toshiba PMSM motor.It also came in as full sliver initial,then will the White-red version (with head being sliver) and lastly the Blackbird livery version after refrebushment. Ran on both NSL(North South Line) and EWL (Eastwest Line) as the oldest and the longest running aswell (while C651 and C751B retired earlier). Originally,the C151 was supposed to run till 2026,but after the 2024 disaster,it was later shifted to September 2025 instead. This MRT train in particular, instead only a train,but is also where it brought our interest and it feels weird without them. With our childhood train says goodbye,it is time,to say goodbye to the good friend of us.
