Kebbi Lawmakers Demand Malami’s Arrest Over Public Unrest!

The Kebbi State caucus of the APC in the National Assembly has called for the arrest and prosecution of former Attorney General Abubakar Malami (SAN), accusing him of inciting unrest in Birnin Kebbi. At a press briefing in Abuja, Senator Adamu Aliero dismissed Malami’s September 10 petition against Governor Nasir Idris as “false, unfounded and politically motivated.” He alleged that Malami brought in thugs from Sokoto, Koko and Rara who attacked the APC State Secretariat, sparking violent clashes. The caucus described the petition as a smear campaign aimed at destabilizing Kebbi, urging security agencies to compel Malami to provide evidence. They reaffirmed support for Governor Idris and praised President Tinubu’s progress in tackling insecurity.
