Rustic, cozy, and deeply flavorful — the perfect comforting French chicken dinner. 🍗 Coq au Riesling – Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms 🍄 We used: 5 chicken thighs & drumsticks 1 lb crimini mushrooms Pearl onions 4 shallots, minced 1/4 cup cognac & 1 cup Riesling About 1 1/2 cups chicken stock 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 cup sour cream 3 tbsp fresh tarragon + more for garnish Squeeze of lemon juice (optional) *I build this dish in stages — shallots form the base, while pearl onions are added later so they stay glossy and intact.
