I caught an Xbox hacker who went from modding to denying all allegations. I was never sure if he denied this in front of other players or because he had a very consistent answer. I was playing CoD World at War on the Xbox 360. It was on Free for All and I didn't start recording until I saw the hacker spin with god mode, after another player couldn't kill him. I couldn't kill him either. I then proceeded to see his red dot on my radar (with a recon plane), and it was OUTSIDE of the map (Asylum). As soon as I started recording, he was gone. I continued to record for the next multiple games in hopes of getting visual evidence of his hacks. During the game where I spotted him hacking, he went 0-1. His score showed that he was very inactive during the 10 minute match. This is another way of suspecting of someone hacking. Why would someone be in the game for 10 minutes and not do anything? Like other modders, he was perhaps noclipping around the map during the game. He was probably exploring and didn't mean to get caught red handed using hacks/cheats. After a few games, I confronted him. He denied everything and even tried accusing me of modding the game, as his excuse was that he couldn't defeat me. But gameplay shows that I was simply good in the game and that's true in many games. If you're good in the game, the game is very rewarding and fun when played legitmately. People who use hacks just aren't good in the game. Change my mind. After confronting him and getting absolutely no confession, I concluded that that was enough and was satisfied with the footage I had. It's also worth mentioning that I wasn't the only witness. There were other players who admitted that they saw the Xbox 360 hacker noclipping and flying around. One players said this in gamechat when he couldn't kill him because he had god mode. Another player sent me a message to back me up when confronting the hacker. So clearly, I wasn't the only person in the game that caught him cheating. But my dedication to staying in the game for multiple matches served as a way of doing my best to getting visual evidence of the cheater.
