Apparently, people still hack MW2 on the Xbox 360 (or Xbox One) in 2022. MW2 is not as alive as it used to be, but it is still populated and occasionally has some Search & Destroy lobbies. Sometimes, these lobbies are run by hackers who either using modded Xbox consoles or MW2 infections. In my opinion, most of them hack the game because they want to create trickshots on last kills, which would enable the game winning killcam to showcase the shot. This was extremely popular back in the day but today, it is mostly achieved by mods on the 360. Can't say the same about the PS3... Even if the game is from 2009, it is against Xbox LIVE ToS and Code of Conduct to modify game content. The original game publisher, Activision, does not allow mopdding either. It may not be heavily enforced anymore as this is an old gen game. But many players get on MW2 everyday just to enjoy it legitimately. The hackers I caught were using mods such as invisibility and teleportation mods, which were used agaisnt me since I confronted them.
