Episode 433 Elsie (Pat Phoenix) realises that Dennis (Philip Lowrie) is responsible for Ena (Violet Carson) changing her mind about the eviction. While Dennis enjoys the praise his breakfast gets burnt showing he hasn't changed. Ena uses the yard phone to contact Edward Wormold (Robert Dorning). Jerry (Graham Haberfield) remains secretive. Annie (Doris Speed) asks Jerry to fix the Rovers' draught excluders so she can question him. Swindley (Arthur Lowe) gets promoted and leaves Gamma Garments and creates a spring window display as a farewell gift. He tells Len (Peter Adamson) he saw Jerry on the wrong bus which arouses suspicion. Len's questions only anger Jerry. Swindley offers Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) a promotion but she refuses. Jerry tells Annie he is still with Myra (Susan Jameson) and staying at George Dickinson's (Stan Jay). Willie Piggott (George A. Cooper) is due at the magistrates' court. Ena sells No. 11 to Wormold for £350 and he agrees to do the repairs for Elsie. Len tells Elsie about the sale and repairs. She's surprised by Wormold's sense of responsibility. Swindley leaves Gamma for head office and Emily and Ena see him off. Len guesses Jerry has left Myra.
