Today we are going to review Part Number IMF14220. This is the BoatBuckle G2 retractable ratcheting bow tie-down strap. This tie-down strap will secure the bow of your boat to your trailer and it is quick and easy to use with the BoatBuckle Ratchet System. This ratcheting strap is simple to hook up and retracts automatically and will offer a permanent mount. This will tighten down easy with the sure-grip rubber coated handle which makes it easy to grip and control with one hand. It does have a dual release lever which is on each side. It does have a vinyl coated steel S Hook which will help protect the finish of your boat. On this hole right here you can permanently mount it to your trailer with the included mounting bolt. This ratchet strap has a corrosion resistant steel body. The strap is a seatbelt quality polyester webbing all inside a sturdy plastic housing. On the inside is a stainless steel spring. The dimension on the strap is 2 inches wide and 43 inches long. It does have a maximum load strength or breaking strength of 2,500 pounds. The actual safe working load limit would be one-third of that which is 833 pounds. This part does include one bow strap and the included mounting bolt. It does have a one year limited warranty. The way this would actually operate is you would bolt the ratchet system to your frame of your trailer and it is designed to keep constant tension on the strap and will require minimum ratcheting to secure the load. The way this works is when you push down on the release lever it will allow the strap to extend out. What you could do is hook it to the bow of your boat and then if you pull up on it, it will release the lever. There is a little lever underneath the handle that if you hold up on, it will allow you to ratchet and tighten up the bow of your boat to your trailer. Once you release it, it is automatically locked in place. Once you need to release it, just push down on the release button and release the S Hook and it will automatically retract back into the housing. That should do it for Part Number IMF14220.
