Having problem with main cruise control / audio switches on the steering wheel on Honda Accord 2003-2007? Perhaps replacing the control switches would be one of the ways to fix the problem you might have such as malfunction, broken or the buttons stopped latching. It is very easy to do, require minimal tools and only take a few minutes. Genuine new Honda OEM parts might be somewhat expensive but you might be able to get it cheaper with aftermarket parts or even from the junk yard. This video should help you get some ideas on how to remove, replace and install these control switches. On some models such as DX, only the cruise control is available, but for the LX & EX models, there's also an audio control switch on the left side of the steering wheel. This video was done on a 2004 Accord 2.4L (which is the same as 2003, 2005, 2006 & 2007). The process should be similar to many other Honda or Acura models such as Civic, CRV, Element, Pilot & Odyssey. Here are some of the things you might want to consider when trying to diagnose or troubleshoot your broken switches. If you only have one control switch (which is main cruise), then perhaps an easiest and cheapest method to solve the problem might be to swap the unit with a new one. If that doesn't work, then you may need to check the continuity of your brake switch on top of the brake pedal or replace the cable reel / clock spring, especially if both of your switches are not working at the same time. It would be rare for both switches to be broken simultaneously. Thanks for watching a DIY auto repair video by young mechanic Aiman.
