Take a unique trip back in time to 1978 to the rural Sobibór railroad station. Be sure to watch this old yet colorful footage of rural, normal life going on around the Sobibor train station. There will also be some old rolling stock from those years. Also worth noting is a board of train connections to and from the Sobibor station (visible in 1:03 minutes). There weren't too many of them, as you can see. This is another gem for lovers of old railroads, train history or train sets. The shots were taken at the Sobibor train station in 1978, as seen on the timetable. They were taken by Claude Lanzmann and his crew during the shooting of his film “Shoah.” The shooting was done a few months apart: at the beginning of the footage we still have summer while at the end it is already winter. Perhaps someone will recognize themselves, their friends, parents or grandparents. The image of the video has been slightly cleaned of noise and smoothed, the quality of the recording has been generally improved and the resolution slightly increased. Thanks to this treatment, you can see even more details and in Full HD quality. We encourage you to watch the video. The source material is owned by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
