How To Make A Lunge Strap Attachment for Lunging Horses

Hi everyone! I decided to make a lunge strap to use when I am lunging my horses. This way I don't have to change my lunge line every time I want to change direction with my horses when they are lunging. It was pretty easy to make, and I had most of the stuff to make it at home, so I thought I would give it a go! The first one was not the prettiest, but it will work, and will be my spare lunging strap attachment. I was really happy with how the second one (purple) turned out. To make your own lunging strap this is what you will need: 2 bolt snaps 1 heavy duty "d" ring Nylon webbing, the webbing I was used was 1" wide (about 18" of webbing) Thread that matches your webbing A sewing machine First I cut three strips of webbing about 8" long each. Then I sewed a bolt snap onto 2 pieces of the webbing. And then I sewed the D ring to the third piece of webbing. Once they were all attached I then took the 2 pieces with the bolt snaps and sewed them together in a V formation. Once this was done, then I sewed the D ring piece onto the V piece, so it forms a Y, and the D ring is on the bottom of the Y. And that is pretty much it!
