If you don't have a digital strobe tuner with sweetened tunings, you may want to consider getting one. I lugged my Grandfather's old Conn strobe tuner around for years until I finally decided to buy something more compact. Conn had been purchased by Peterson so the only thing available was their StroboFlip or StroboStomp. The sweetened tunings will make your guitar sound better, especially in open tunings. Towards the end of the video (11:00), I demonstrate how good the open sweetened tuning sounds vs. equal temperament. They are around $200 but I think they are worth it. I have always been used to using the strobe type tuner and not the lights that move one direction or the other. These are very accurate and easy to use once you get used to it.
