Hey guys, here it is! The new Audi RS 5 is Audi Sport's first high-performance plug-in hybrid (PHEV), with true RS DNA and cutting-edge hybrid technology. Whether attacking corners, devouring highway miles, or zipping through city traffic in electric mode, the RS 5 excels in every situation with agility and impressive precision. It offers extremely versatile driving dynamics, from a comfortable everyday companion to a sporty sports car. For the first time in an Audi Sport, the powertrain combines a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 375 kW (510 hp) with a 130 kW electric motor. Add to that a specific RS sport suspension with twin-valve dampers and a new quattro all-wheel-drive system with dynamic torque control, enabling electromechanical torque distribution to the rear axle – a world first. The new center differential is preloaded to remain partially locked at all times, thus managing the longitudinal torque distribution. The lateral torque distribution at the rear is ensured by a new differential capable of transferring torque between the wheels in milliseconds. The result: exceptionally agile, controlled, and effortless handling. The precise interaction between all the suspension components defines the Audi RS 5's handling. Its key strengths include: optimized, RS-specific front and rear axles, RS sport suspension with innovative dual-valve dampers, RS-tuned steering, 20- and 21-inch wheels fitted with specially adapted tires, and powerful steel or ceramic brakes. The dual-valve technology allows the dampers to offer both optimal ride comfort and an extremely sporty driving experience. It significantly reduces pitch and roll and ensures exceptional responsiveness of the dampers to changes in road conditions. The Audi Sport package, available as an option on the new RS 5 Avant and RS 5 Sedan, embodies sportiness at its peak. It adds exclusive features such as specific dynamic front and rear bumpers, as well as 21-inch Phantom Black diamond-cut bi-color wheels with matte accents. An RS sport exhaust system and a top speed increased to 285 km/h ensure even more exceptional performance. The exclusive interior features contrasting Serpentine Green and brass stitching, a first for the model. This package also offers a wide range of personalization options, including Bedford Green metallic paint. RS ceramic brakes with bronze-colored calipers and carbon fiber camouflage elements complete the package. The new Audi Driving Experience function is standard. It allows for detailed analysis of journeys, displayed on the 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen. On the track, it is also possible to analyze and record lap times. In RS torque rear driving mode, the system provides statistics such as the drift angle achieved. In Germany, the 470 kW Audi RS 5 Sedan is available from £106,200, while the RS 5 Avant starts at £107,850. The new models are manufactured in Neckarsulm, Germany.
