Ambassador Grata Endah Werdaningtyas paid a farewell call on H.E. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, on 23 February 2026 in Vientiane. The meeting marked the kick-off of a series of farewell calls by the Ambassador ahead of the conclusion of her tenure in Laos at the end of this month. Following the meeting, Ambassador Grata was awarded the Cross of Friendship Decoration, presented by the Minister on behalf of the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. The prestigious honor reflects the Lao Government’s high appreciation for her significant contributions and steadfast dedication to strengthening the longstanding friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Indonesia and Laos throughout her tenure. In the spirit of friendship, the Minister also hosted a farewell dinner for Ambassador Grata later that evening. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to further advancing bilateral relations across political, economic, socio-cultural, and development cooperation, grounded in mutual respect and close partnership.
