During its six-season run, the ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN presented a variety of stories that featured a range hard-hitting crime dramas, tales of science fiction, and human interest stories. And some were designed as just plain fun for the kids. Filmed in 1956, "Mr Zero" featuring Billy Curtis as a man from Mars who was exiled to Earth for being too small was obviously designed as one of those "just plain fun for the kids" stories. It also taught a few lessons about kindness and acceptance. Along with Billy Curtis (who had previously appeared in "Superman and the Mole-Men," the cast included Herb Vigran and George Barrows. Vigran, too, was not new to faithful viewers of SUPERMAN ("No Holds Barred," "Jimmy Olsen Boy Editor," "Superman Week," "Blackmail," and "The Big Forget."). His show business career stretched from the 1930s to the 1980s. George Barrows appeared in only one Superman episode, but he can be seen in many other TV shows of the time including THE LONE RANGER, WHIRLYBIRDS, and STORIES OF THE CENTURY. He also appeared in the movie ROBOT MONSTER with Greg Moffett, who can be seen in SUPERMAN's "The Stolen Elephant."
