Graduate Roosevelt Island, NY | Our 30-day Tour of Graduate Hotels from Providence RI to Seattle WA

We are Cindy and Eddie and this is SQUEEZEtheDAY. We live to travel. Before the pandemic, we've been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and a couple places in the US. The pandemic has changed the way we can travel safely, so now we are looking for ways to do that. We moved out of our apartment and made an old RV our home, giving us a chance to see all of America in a home on wheels. On April 7, 2021, we lost our home. On June 9th, we were presented with an opportunity to travel the country again. This time, we’re going to spend 30 days in 30 hotels, and all of them are the 30 Graduate Hotels across the country. We don't have a home, but at least we can travel for the whole month of July. (This video is not sponsored by Graduate Hotels) How are we able to travel America exploring Graduate Hotels? By taking advantage of something called the Hall Pass. On June 9th, we paid $500 for this Hall Pass which enables us to stay at a different hotel every night for the entire month of July. We will tell you more about it in August when we are done. An exciting challenge we've decided to try is, we will be attempting to post a new video every day for the month of July. This is the first time we’ve tried anything like this, so bear with us as we learn how to do it. We are working to get back into an RV as soon as possible and your help goes a long way to make that happen. The first hotel we went to is in Providence, Rhode Island. We’ve had a long drive through New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts to get to Rhode Island. Right now we are in Roosevelt Island, New York. The weather for the trip was amazing. Not too hot, not too cold. We had a great drive. Parking was a little bit of a challenge and we didn’t know exactly what to do. If you are driving to Roosevelt Island, park in the garage you can access as soon as you cross the bridge. There is some street parking, but it’s limited. This amazing hotel is located towards the southern tip of the island. If you don’t feel like walking with all your luggage, you can drive to the hotel and use their valet parking, or just park long enough to unload, then go back to the garage which is what we did. Then we walked along the river on our return to the hotel and were very grateful we did. It was beautiful. When we arrived, an automatic rotating door opened right up to the front desk. Once we were done getting checked in and unloading our stuff in the room, we went to the restaurant and Poindexter. The gym is on the 5th floor. And the rooftop bar will be open mid July.
