The Pulitzer Prize-winning ⁠Chris ⁠⁠Hedges first spoke at the Sanctuary back in 2010. The Sanctuary had just moved onto the block the previous year—we were still renting the church!⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ Since then he's been back a half a dozen times and he has watched us grow and learn. Physically, our campus has grown significantly (we now have indoor and outdoor presenting facilities, two radio studios, five lots of urban gardens, a residential building for housing interns and staff, and a community bio-lab!). In tandem, our approach to our mission and our understanding of our community have grown as well. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ It's humbling that such a widely revered truth-teller like Hedges has adopted the Sanctuary as his favorite venue for sharing his work.
