Aqara just released their Matter enabled Aqara T2 Dual Relay, and it solves EVERYTHING!! It does unfortunately require a neutral wire for this setup, but it will give you a locally controlled Matter enabled Smart home light switch that is Zigbee based and works with Home Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Homekit AND has energy monitoring!!
