Camino Portuguese Barcelos to Vitorino dos Piaes

Days 3 and 4 made us really begin to feel what it means to walk the Camino. We met a pilgrim walking the opposite direction (the Fatima Way) and learned about the carved wooden shell she was carrying. We also learned to respect the early morning rooster crows after reading about the famous Barcelos rooster who intervened in the death sentence of a falsely accused man. At the end of day 4, we met several hikers from all over the world as we gathered together for a meal and some song at the dinner table of our albergue. It was a wonderful 2 days of our Camino hike!
