Marie Antoine Careme

Marie-Antoine Carême was a French chef who lived from 1784 to 1833 and is often credited with founding the art of modern French cuisine. He began his career as a pastry chef's apprentice at the age of 16, and quickly gained a reputation for his talent and creativity. Carême worked for several notable figures of his time, including Napoleon Bonaparte, George IV of England, and the Russian Tsar Alexander I.
