I’m still working through the process of healing after my 18-year old son died suddenly in 2022. This video describes the realization I had this morning when my friend came back with an answer to the question, “God supposedly promises that all things work together for good blah blah blah… How could I ever view Zach’s death as a good thing?” I truly wanted to know how on Earth could I ever get to the place of considering my son’s death as a good outcome? Her answer was, “Death is NOT good. Death is only of this physical world. It’s not even a candidate to be a good outcome because it’s not on the side of good, it’s on the side of darkness. God does not offer darkness as outcomes. God uses everything that the darkness throws at us to work together for good. That is the Hope.” So what I learned this morning is that Zach‘s death was not an outcome. I am still living in the outcome from Zach‘s death.
